Parker Posey—Irrational Man—July 10, 2015

Once branded the "Queen of the Indies," Parker Posey rose to hipster prominence in films like Sleep with Me, Party Girl, The House of Yes, Frisk, The Doom Generation, The Anniversary Party and Basquiat. Some of her more "mainstream" films include Scream 3, Superman Returns, Blade: Trinity and You've Got Mail., and she has carved a niche on television guesting on cool shows like Louie, Bored to Death, The Big C, Portlandia and Inside Amy Schumer (and making them cooler). In addition to her stage work, Posey has become a go-to actress for filmmakers like Hal Hartley (Henry Fool, Fay Grim, and Ned Rifle), Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused and SubUrbia), and Christopher Guest (Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, For Your Consideration), and now Woody Allen (Irrational Man, "Untitled Woody Allen Project"). Posey sat down for an exclusive chat with me in her Fairmont Hotel suite during the San Francisco tour stop for Irrational Man.
