A fitful, contrived, 131-minute guilt trip which fails to convince an audience fully to invest in any of its characters.

Just remember kids: as fun as it all seems, fast food, soda, candy, binge drinking, reckless driving, steroids, dirty ball and, well, yes, Adam Sandler movies are bad for you.

Builds up a nice head of steam...as a warm and quirky comedy of men trying to be men in a post-feminist world...also succumbs to niggling artificialities that drain the story of credibility and genuine heft.

I sure hope Sandler's next movie is about learning the pain of Asian folks...that'd be hilarious!

Methinks the kids to whom this superhero movie will most appeal won't be able to separate the stereotypes from the political wishful thinking.

Resembles its own remarks about predictable patterns in the circuitry of arcade games: here is a series of crass caricatures, obvious setups and payoffs (not to mention a woman problem...), further suffocated by overweening commercialism...

This is the kind of lackluster animated movie at which you’ll lose count of how many times the characters randomly break into dance--and that’s in addition to the...not one but two dance parties incorporated into the plot.
