You know, I don't remember the fart and pee jokes in The Wizard of Oz or the old Disney classics or the Muppet movies. Crotch-biting, of course, comes from a long tradition. Hmm.

Interesting enough as a symbolic drama of conflicting and conflicted beliefs. But this is also supposed to be a spooky movie, right?

It's one thing to make a film that's violent and profane; it's another to make one that's a moral black hole, and to do it because black looks cool.

Doesn't avoid all of the traps of the genre, but Hoffman does show good taste, particularly in casting.
