Another tale of an unlikely family dynamic showing the way for closed-minded conservatives, Quinceañera may be simplistic at heart, but its drama is reasonably effective.

Technically qualifies as a true-crime tale, and seems to exist mostly out of a sense of marketable prurience: hallmarks of Lifetime’s infamous cable movies.

Still still hums with humanity in the person of Moore, whose towering performance shows a staggering technical proficiency while never losing a whit of emotional resonance.
