I'm hard-pressed not to recommend Robots as an energetic family-movie distraction...[but] plotting is...mechanical.

The seams show...a somewhat grudging social obligation for audiences over the age of ten to tow their younger charges.

Nothing new, but given its solidly built kids' adventure, I'm not going to, y'know, look down on it.
