Too bad that this junior version of Fahrenheit 451 turned out drippy...It's odd to watch a film about the rediscovery of love, faith, passion, and color, and for the film to be so by-the-numbers colorless.

At times suffers from dull, dunderheaded, or dead-end plotlines [but]...There's enough here to keep hope alive that Gotham could grow into more of a weekly treat than a fanboy obligation.

Ambition...effort...well-intentioned...some genuinely affecting grace notes on occasion, but it's also shameless.
