Katharine Ross shot to fame in the 1960s with The Graduate and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, later followed by roles in The Stepford Wives and Donnie Darko, among many others. She has collaborated several times with her husband Sam Elliott, including in Brett Haley's new film The Hero. Haley's other films include I'll See You in My Dreams and The New Year. The duo discussed The Hero and Ross' career (including working with the likes of Jimmy Stewart, John Houseman, and Mike Nichols) in this chat conducted at San Francisco's Intercontinental Hotel on the occasion of the San Francisco International Film Festival.
