A surprisingly deft comedy,
Outsourced tackles the frustrations surrounding a bottom-line business practice. When his customer-service department is bequeathed to an inhospitable concrete bunker in India, Todd (Josh Hamilton) tells his puzzled new staff, "Basically you people need to learn about America." Of course, the condescending Todd has plenty to learn himself, conveyed in a series of goofy-sweet vignettes about Indian culture and romantic misadventure. Though not terribly filling,
Outsourced weds a bit of business satire with a neatly entertaining and wittily observed "fish out of water" travelogue.
