The Promotion skates out onto that thin ice of comedic subtlety. Like its characters, it's not terribly successful, but it's an admirable effort all the same.

Tone deaf...only slightly better than the worst sitcom you've ever seen.

Predictability is the fatal flaw of any American sequel, and while this one comes closest in tone to the original film, that's a decidedly double-edged sword.

Just a cut above the typical, but it goes without saying: your mileage may vary.
