Hugh Dancy
Hugh Dancy—
Adam
—7/24/09
It's really a foray for him, into a world that he doesn't know, on
many
levels. I don't know that he's ever necessarily kissed a girl, so there's that...I kind of credit Adam with the bravery to pull it off.
Basic (2003)
Ella Enchanted (2004)
King Arthur (2004)
Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)
Hollywood likes nothing more than having its cake and eating it too, which explains the confusions of P.J. Hogan’s
Confessions of a Shopaholic
.
Adam (2009)
An admirable dramatic investigation into life with Asperger's and a story with the intelligence not to insult ours.
Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011)
At least, though the insights here aren't as plentiful as Durkin seems to think, Olsen's fine work as the off-balance, paranoid anti-hero helps to create that illusion.
Hysteria (2012)
Opens with the legend 'This story is based on true events,' adding, 'Really.' Except that it isn’t. Not really.
